Letter Mm

In Social Studies this week we will be learning about physical characteristics of land. We will be looking at Texas landforms and specific characteristics about Dublin. There will be different books about Texas Landforms and globes for the children to explore... then they can build landforms in their sandbox!!!!
Barrels of monkey fun!!!

In math this week we will be continuing our study on patterns. Moving on to ABC patterns and finding similarities and differences in patterns!

Feed the monkey the banana words that start with Mm

Match the PIP dot bananas with the correct monkey numeral! 1-10

Even though we are studying letter Mm... we are also doing Jack and the Beanstalk activities in ELAR and Science! In ELAR, we will be specifically learning how to write a story from rough draft to final draft. We will start by making a Cover, Author and title page for our story. We will then determine the Beginning., Middle and End of our story. We will then add details and create our final draft!

Sequencing

Dramatic play retelling

In Science this week we will be leaning all about a Lima bean seed. What happens when it is planted and labeling the Lima bean sprout.

Labeling our seed

Over the weekend we had a GIANT bean stalk sprout in our room! This will be used to reinforce our sight words!

Each child will have their own Greenhouse to watch their seed grow!

Explanation

Parents- I wanted to explain a little more about the pics I post each Monday. These pics are activities that your students will be doing during the week. Originally, I had intended to use them as workstations... but... Week 2 of cscope I found that workstation time was going to be far and few between. So, what you see are engaging teacher created lessons that align with the CSCOPE curriculum! We use these lessons as either small group or whole group. :)
